Woodingdean Open Gardens - Will you open yours?

Woodigndean residents are being asked to take part in this years 'Woodingdean Open Gardens' a fundraising event for the Church of the Holy Cross.
They are looking for:

Family gardens
Gardens with character
Gardens that encourage wildlife
Gardens that provide you with food
Gardens with items of special interest or artworks
Gardens on steep slopes
Gardens to play in
Or even hidden gardens full of delight and surprises

……that you are happy to share with others for a couple of hours, a day or even a weekend this summer

None of the gardens need to be huge or spotless. All we ask is that visitors are given a warm relaxed welcome

Woodingdean Open Gardens will take place on Saturday and Sunday 6th & 7th July and Saturday and Sunday 13th & 14th July. An Open Garden trail will be available by the end of June for visitors so they can plan which gardens to visit and when.

Entry of £1 per visitor per garden is suggested and and Mon Church (details below) is very happy to advise on other fund raising ideas (refreshments, plant sales, raffles, small stalls with bric a brac, books etc)

If you would like to open your garden to friends, neighbours and the rest of the Woodingdean Community then please get in touch with Mon at the email address below.

The closing date for registration is 2nd June 2013.

If you would like to have an informal chat please feel free to contact Monica Church on 01273 308157 or Email mon@cchurch.freeserve.co.uk
