The Martlets are the first Charity to Open on Sundays

The Martlets Hospice in Hove, will be opening the doors of its warehouse on Old Shoreham road on Sundays. Between 10:30am and 3:30pm shoppers can now drop off their donations, browse the warehouse and even request furniture collections on a Sunday.

Eve Collins, the shop manager said

*“We have been listening to our customers and what is clear is that they would like to arrange collections on a Sunday which is often the day that it is easier for them to be at home. It makes sense for us to make it easier for people to donate to us, and at a time that best suits them. Sundays are also the day when many people like to do a bit of DIY around the house or get on with jobs such as de-cluttering. It makes perfect sense for us to open the warehouse so they can do this. We think we are the first charity to offer this.” *
