RNLI Brighton appealing for volunteers

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is looking for volunteers to become a part of their Brighton team, based at the Lifeboat Station in Brighton Marina.

If you are committed and able, aged between 17 and 40, and living in the near vicinity of Brighton Marina, just along the seafront from Woodingdean, Brighton Lifeboat is appealing to you to join their team. You could become part of the team either by volunteering as crew of Random Harvest their current Atlantic 85 lifeboat, or if dry land is more to your tastes, for their Fundraising and Sea Safety Education Teams.

RNLI is a charity that was set up in 1824 with the purpose of saving lives at sea. Since its foundation in 1824, over 140000 lives have been saved across the UK. To find out more about the history and values of the RNLI, visit their website www.rnli.org.uk

Brighton Lifeboat operates along the Sussex coastline from Shoreham to Newhaven, providing a 24/7 search and rescue service for those who find themselves in trouble at sea.

Brighton Marina is also directly on the 52 bus route, with stops and departure times shown on the Big Lemon website Big Lemon website

If the RNLI is not for you but you still have a hankering to volunteer, there are plenty of other opportunities in and around Woodingdean, such as The Martlets Hospice shops
