LifeLines is a volunteer-led project for people aged 50 and over in Brighton, Woodingdean, Ovingdean, Rotingdean and Saltdean. They run activities and one-to-one support schemes to help people stay more active and better engaged with their communities. Volunteers are recruited, trained and supported to start up their own activity groups at a suitable venue and support activities from computer lessons and ballroom dancing through to mindful colouring.
Our sister scheme HealthLink supports older people who are isolated or whose friends and family can't provide support to get to their healthcare appointments. By enabling people to get to routine health appointments the scheme aims to reduce cancellations, missed health appointments as well as the need for people to make unplanned visits.
